Nursing Core
The Nursing unit is staffed by a Nurse Manager, 6 Registered Nurses, a Medical Assistant, and a Staff Assistant. Our highly skilled research nurses collectively have a broad range of expertise in a variety of nursing specialities.The nurses are responsible to provide:
- Precise implementation of procedure as defined by the research protocol.
- Accurate collection and processing of specimens and data
- Thorough documentation of all aspects of patient care
In order to provide exemplary research patient care, our nurses are assigned exclusively to the GCRC and are available to assist investigators with all aspects of the research protocol from protocol development to publication of the findings
